Diagnostic Testing

diagnostic-testing

Upon evaluation from one of our physician’s, we will order tests to diagnose your condition and plan treatment.

Some of the common tests ordered include:

EEG and Prolonged EEG with video monitoring
EEG stands for electroencephalogram. In its commonest form, it is a measurement of the electrical activity of the brain measured from an array of electrodes on the scalp. This is a painless procedure and helpful in diagnosing seizures, black out spells or epilepsy. This procedure is performed at our office.

EMG/NCS
Electromyographic (EMG) and Nerve conduction studies (NCS) are used to assess the muscle and nerve damage. These studies can be helpful in evaluating weakness, numbness, pain and symptoms such as fatigue, cramps and abnormal sensation. These procedures are performed in the office with a physician.
