Dr. Jennifer Slonaker is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in neurology and family medicine. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from New Mexico State University and achieved the academic rank of Instructor of Neurology from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
She began her career at Mayo Clinic in 2000 as a registered nurse and joined Gilbert Neurology as a Nurse Practitioner in 2011. She returned to Mayo Clinic in 2014 to open the first family practice location in the east valley, and later joined the Headache Clinic at Mayo, Scottsdale.
She also served as a Medical Science Liaison in the therapeutic area of multiple sclerosis for 5 years, where her primary roles were research and education. She returned to Gilbert Neurology in 2025 to serve the community she loves and continue her commitment to patient-focused neurological care.
A resident of Gilbert, Arizona, since 2000, she lives with her husband and two sons. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.
